The project
FitAI replaces generic workout libraries with an intelligent coach. The app learns from each session — adjusting volume, intensity, and recovery in real time — and uses the phone's camera to give form feedback the way a real trainer would.
Project goal
Make personalized strength training accessible to people without a coach or a gym membership, and keep them consistent past the dreaded week-four drop-off.
The problem
Generic plans ignore real recovery, injuries, and weekly schedule changes.
Users can't tell if their form is correct and risk injury training alone.
Streak-based motivation creates guilt, leading to silent churn.
Logging sets manually breaks flow and gets abandoned within two weeks.
The solution
Meet Fity
Your always-on AI coach.
Fity greets every session, watches your form, and celebrates the wins — the friendly face users meet on day one.
01An adaptive engine that reshapes the next session based on RPE, sleep, and missed days.
02Real-time camera form analysis with simple visual cues, not technical jargon.
03A progress view built on trend lines — weight, BMI and volume over weeks — not a single daily number.
04Quick-log gestures and voice commands so logging never interrupts a set.
Research & discovery
- Interviewed 24 users across beginner, intermediate, and returning lifters.
- Most had abandoned a fitness app within their first month, citing rigid plans that ignored missed days.
- Camera-based form feedback was the #1 requested premium feature.
- Users wanted a coach voice, not a database — empathy outranked features.
